Behind every successful transformation, product launch, or expansion is a hiring strategy that delivers at pace and scale. Our ‘Employee Spotlight’ blog series shines a light on the individuals who make this possible, creating measurable impact for our clients every day.
In this edition, we meet Nikki Collins, Global Account Director, who specialises in Project Recruitment Outsourcing (Project RPO) solutions and partners with organisations to deliver talent strategies that create measurable impact. We spoke with Nikki about her role, the impact of her work, and how she’s helping clients navigate the evolving world of talent acquisition.
As a Global Account Director, I lead Project RPO initiatives that support organisations through high-impact moments, whether that’s transformation programmes, new site launches, or rapid hiring spikes. These are often business-critical projects with clear timelines and budgets, where hiring plays a key role in operational success.
My role is to connect business strategy with execution, working closely with senior stakeholders to understand their workforce challenges, objectives, and build talent solutions that deliver results.
While traditional recruitment metrics remain important, success is measured by the impact talent solutions have on a client’s broader business goals. This could be putting in place the workforce strategies for an RPO or enabling a business to set up a shared service centre in a strategically important location.
Of course, we track KPIs such as time-to-hire, quality of hire, and hiring manager and candidate NPS. But metrics only tell part of the story. The bigger picture is making sure our hiring programmes can adapt to deliver customers’ evolving talent needs.
For example, in one project, we were tasked with hiring 200 people over five months. This compressed to just one month. By rapidly scaling our talent team, we delivered within the new timeframe. This meant our client could meet their critical operational deadline for a new distribution centre.
That kind of impact, where hiring directly enables business success, is what defines true value.
One of my most exciting projects was with a large consumer goods company. What began as a data and analytics transformation project, evolved into a multi-year global hiring programme spanning 12 countries and multiple business functions.
Over the course of the partnership, we delivered more than 300 hires across: Data & Analytics, Technology applications, and Procurement exceeding our KPIs, with an average time-to-offer of 30 days and a 4.7/5 hiring manager satisfaction score.
I'm particularly proud of the support we provided for the company's ‘Global Women in Data’ campaign. We worked closely with senior female leaders to create authentic employee led content that showcased career journeys and personal experiences.
Combined with inclusive hiring practices and our gender bias decoder tool, this helped strengthen the employer brand and attract more divers talent.
The future of talent acquisition is being shaped by data, AI, and evolving workforce expectations, creating new opportunities for organisations willing to adapt. My focus is helping clients embrace innovation while ensuring talent strategies remain practical, scalable and aligned to business goals.
An example of this in action is an AI-enabled analysis framework that I developed to help organisations understand gender diversity throughout their recruitment process. Using anonymised hiring data, the solution identifies points where candidates disengage or drop out of the process, enabling organisations to make evidence-based improvements, to identify points of candidate drop-outs and opportunities to improve representation and hiring outcomes. We used this tool for a customer who was struggling with high female drop-outs and suggested actionable recommendations.
My advice would be to put talent at the centre of the transformation strategy from day one and engage early. Be clear on the business outcomes you're trying to achieve, identify the skills and capabilities you'll need for the future, and embed workforce planning into decision making from the outset.
Just as importantly, communicate consistently with stakeholders and remain adaptable as priorities evolve. The organisations that navigate transformation most successfully are those that align their talent strategy to their business goals and proactively plan for the people challenges ahead.
Outside of work, I focus on things that help me switch off and recharge. I play the saxophone in a band and perform at events and festivals. It's a great way to connect with others, stay present and enjoy something completely different from my day-to-day role.
I also enjoy spending time with my family and supporting my children's activities. I run regularly too, which helps me clear my head and often gives me time to think through challenges from a different angle.
Nikki's work shows how the right strategy can help organisations solve complex talent challenges and support business success. By combining data-driven insight, AI-enabled innovation and partnership with clients, she helps organisations solve complex workforce challenges, achieve business objectives and navigate change with confidence.
Whether supporting transformation programmes, international growth or diversity initiatives, Nikki’s focus remains the same: delivering talent solutions that create lasting impact.
